Book launch of ***Hojas secas*** (***Dry Leaves***) by renowned singer, songwriter, and poet **Daniel Gutiérrez**. We invite you to enjoy a conversation about poetry, writing, and music. **Camila Sánchez** and **Armida Zepeda** will interview Daniel Gutiérrez to share with the audience the adventure of writing poems that become songs and songs that become poetry. It will be a casual, interesting, and surely fun conversation, perhaps even featuring a couple of songs carried on the wind. "*Dry Leaves* is a collection of memories, delusions, confessions, wounds... Pages scrambled by the wind: some burn with desire, others bleed rage or dissolve into dreamlike images. Here there is love and heartbreak, body and absence, dreams and nightmares, cities and abysses. I wrote these poems in the early morning and during insomnia, in airports and empty rooms, in the tenderness of love and the fever of disillusionment. I didn't arrange them with tweezers, I let them fall. Just as they came out. Raw, sweet, broken. The texts were taken from the notebooks that have accompanied me for thirty years; they are the B-sides of songs, the flow of ideas trying to land the lyrics of a new song. That which passed through me unfiltered and was captured without any intention of being anything more than words and phrases released to let the songwriter's work flow. This book doesn't promise redemption, but it does promise a secret companionship: that of "To know oneself as dry leaves, carried by the same wind." Daniel Gutiérrez
