TALK + LIVE DEMO with IRINA YUSHMANOVA 💧🎨 TITLE: Alla Prima & Plein Air Watercolor: Painting the Moment What’s this about? No plein air, no Impressionism. Period. Going outside to paint changed art history, and it’s still the heartbeat of watercolor today. Irina Yushmanova breaks it down. What alla prima actually means, why painting outside messes with your brain in the best way, and how to get water, pigment, and light to play nice before everything dries. The plan: 1️⃣ 45-min real talk – César Gordillo chats with Irina. From her journey as an artist and teacher to the tricks she uses when painting on the street. All centered on plein air. 2️⃣ 90-min live demo – Irina paints an alla prima watercolor right in front of you. Watch her problem-solve, mess up, fix it, and make magic happen. 3️⃣ Q&A – Ask her anything. Techniques, materials, fears, creative blocks. No dumb questions here. 📍 Where: Instituto Allende 📅 When: August 8th 2026, 13:00-15:00 h 🎟️ Cost: Free. Zero dollars. ⚠️ Save the date and get there early. Who’s this for? Art students, hobby painters, pros, urban sketchers, or if you’re just curious to see how someone paints with water before the wind dries it all. Everyone’s welcome. Come see how you catch light with water ✏️💦 #PleinAir #AllaPrima #Watercolor #IrinaYushmanova #FASMA #FreeEvent #PaintOutside ***Irina Yushmanova*** *Irina is a visual artist originally from Russia and based in Mexico City (naturalized Mexican citizen) since 2014.
