Ana Verónica Ramírez Rodríguez: Otomí Ancestral Healing for the Modern World
Born and raised in San Miguel de Allende, Ana Verónica Ramírez Rodríguez is the heir to a rich tradition of ancestral knowledge passed down through generations within her Otomí family. Her work serves as a bridge between Indigenous wisdom, modern science, and holistic well-being.
Her story is deeply rooted in the traditional San Miguel de Allende of rural roads, close-knit communities, and strong cultural traditions. Descending from families originating in the ranchos surrounding the city, Ana Verónica grew up surrounded by healing practices passed down by her grandmother Carmen, a respected Otomí healer who preserved both the language and traditions of her people.
An Inheritance of Healing
From an early age, Ana Verónica witnessed and personally benefited from the healing methods practiced by her grandmother and mother. These experiences fostered a profound trust in the body's natural ability to restore balance and overcome illness.
Those teachings became the foundation of a lifelong calling: guiding individuals toward physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being through practices that unite ancestral traditions with scientific understanding.
Where Science and Tradition Meet
Ana Verónica holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Pharmacobiology and has spent years studying nutrition, human physiology, neuroscience, and integrative wellness.
Rather than viewing science and ancestral wisdom as opposing forces, she has dedicated her work to demonstrating how both can complement and enrich one another. Her approach combines traditional healing practices, medicinal plants, ceremony, movement, conscious nutrition, and contemporary health knowledge.
Diyapentu Healing Space
She is the founder of Diyapentu Healing Space, a holistic wellness center based in San Miguel de Allende. The Otomí word Diyapentu refers to the alignment of physical, emotional, and mental energies in connection with the Great Spirit, a principle that guides all of her offerings and programs.
Through this healing space, she provides individual sessions, workshops, ceremonies, medicinal plant walks, ancestral massage, and wellness programs both in person and online for clients around the world.
Projects and Community Leadership
In addition to her healing practice, Ana Verónica is developing Goddessa-Tierra, a self-care and ancestral wellness product line inspired by traditional healing knowledge and mindful living.
She is also the founder of Heal the Healers, an international initiative that offers free healing circles for environmental advocates, grassroots leaders, and community changemakers dedicated to creating positive impact throughout the world.
A Living Voice of Ancestral Tradition
Through her work, Ana Verónica honors the legacy of her ancestors while preserving knowledge that remains deeply relevant today. Her practice embodies the intersection of tradition, identity, science, and community, creating opportunities for individuals to reconnect with themselves and the wisdom of nature.
From San Miguel de Allende, she continues the mission that inspired generations before her: supporting healing journeys and sharing a holistic vision of wellness grounded in awareness, cultural heritage, and respect for the natural world.
